Registered Mental Health Intern

Hi, and I am currently a Master's level intern at Mindful Therapy Studios. I will graduate in May 2024 from Thomas University with a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health. I received my BA in psychology at Keiser University in 2021. I have over a year and a half of experience working at a crisis inpatient facility helping individuals who have experienced trauma, suicidal thoughts/attempts, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and bipolar disorder. Additionally, I have experience at a rehab residential facility in Orlando, FL working with adult women recovering from their addiction through group and individual therapy. I interned at Carter and Evans Marriage and Family Counseling, working with individuals struggling with their marriage, family dynamics, interpersonal relationships, and individual mental health concerns.

My theoretical orientations are derived from Adlerian therapy to serve diverse populations better. In addition to Adlerian therapy, I use various skills, techniques, and interventions from other therapeutic approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to fit your goals of living a happy and healthy life. Every person is different, and every person goes through life changes differently. Let's work together to discover how you are different and what approach/s best fits you and your needs.
